Last week, five companies faced a panel of Food Network judges to present their version of a brand hack that would take the channel to the next level.
Each team had 10 minutes to convince the likes of Andy Weissman of Union Square Ventures, Eater co-founder Ben Leventhal, Food Network Star Winner Justin Warner and two other network executives that their idea was worth $25,000. Local data startup Food Genius walked away with the top prize, besting competitors such as Waze, Cool Eggs, and Raved.
