Clear Software Oversubscribes Seed Financing to Accommodate Rapid Growth

Feb22, 2016

ZIONSVILLE, Indiana: Clear Software, the market leader in the simplification of business software, announced today that it has closed an oversubscribed seed financing round to prepare for delivery of its hallmark software product, ClearUI®, to more than two dozen Fortune 500 companies.

ClearUI® is a cloud-based, platform-as-a-service that streamlines disparate business tasks across multiple enterprise software systems into logical business processes, all contained within a single web page that is simple and easy-to-use.

“No one ever takes a training course to learn how to use Facebook, Amazon, or Google,” said Jon Gilman, CEO of Clear Software, “yet everyone needs training to use the likes of SAP® and Oracle E-Business Suite®. Our mission is to simplify business software to make the jobs of users easier and more productive.”

The seed financing round included investments from MK Capital, Hyde Park Venture Partners, Elevate Ventures, and David A. Noyes.  In addition, individual investors participating included Tony Petrucciani, founder of Single Source Systems; Bob Boehnlein, former Aprimo executive and founder of Perscio; Mark Hill, founder of Baker Hill; and Josh Garrett, co-founder of Mobi.

“Clear Software solves the challenges facing Fortune 500 CIOs looking to unify data across dozens of disparate enterprise software systems while simplifying the user experience for employees,” said Kirk Wolfe, General Partner at MK Capital.  “This results in reduced complexity, increased productivity, and significant cost savings.”

“Hyde Park Venture Partners is excited to partner with Jon and the team at Clear Software,” said Tim Kopp, Partner at the firm and former CMO at ExactTarget. “We’re impressed with their vision of simplifying ERP implementations with a better user interface and workflow. Their roster of initial customers validates this vision in a powerful way.”

With the financing round closed and several key new hires on board, Clear Software will now be able to focus on customer delivery.  “We want to be absolutely certain that each customer’s experience with ClearUI® is flawless,” said Jeff Tu, Vice President of Services.
