I know what you’re thinking “ugh, do we really need another blog post about SaaS metrics?”. No, we don’t. There’ve been plenty of great discussions of SaaS metrics here, here, and here. Pacific Crest provides rich benchmark data, and SaaStr, Tom Tunguz, Scale, my partner Guy, and many others go deep on the nuances, challenges, and “how-to’s” of building a SaaS business. That said, I often still get asked what the key metrics are for early stage SaaS companies. So, I put together a few slides to highlight and explain some of the more important high-level metrics I look for.
